What kind of service is this?

This is a music download store. It’s not a subscription or streaming service; you pay only for what you want and it’s yours to keep. The service is powered by 7digital, who also provide receipts, billing and customer support.

Will the downloads play on my phone/ipod/mp3 player?

Yes, all music downloaded from this store is available in MP3, which is compatible with pretty much everything. Your phone must have mp3 playing capabilities, of course.

Which formats are available?

The majority of the downloads are high quality MP3s (256kbps or 320kbps) and a large portion is available in m4a, which is compatible with iPods, iTunes and iPhones. The available format(s) and quality are displayed beside the album artwork on each release page. You can choose which of them to download after payment.

Finding music

To get started, type an artist, track or album into the search box or select from one of the categories in the navigation bar.

Preview tracks by pressing the play button to the left of each track. Preview entire albums by clicking the play button next to “Tracks”. (Note that preview clips are not full quality.)

Add music to your basket by clicking the “+” next to the track you want. To add the entire album, click the “Buy” button below the album title. You can remove music from your basket by clicking the “X”.

Hit “Checkout” when you have finished shopping and wish to proceed to payment.

Signing up/signing in

Creating an account is quick and easy and only requires an email address and a password. Please give a correct address as it’s where we’ll send your receipt and responses to any queries you might have.

Payment

To pay with Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express, click “Add Card” on the payment page. We will automatically store your card details for quick payment next time. If you wish to remove your card details from our system please get in touch.

We treat all your personal data and payment information securely and don't share it with others.

All transactions are safely encrypted with 256-bit SSL technology.

Problems with card payment

If you receive a message saying that your transaction cannot be processed, which is usually a problem with your bank’s authentication process, please check your details were entered correctly and try again later.

Before repeating the payment process, please check the “Your Music” page to be sure that your purchases haven’t been added.

What is a voucher code?

It is a long code of letters and numbers that can be redeemed for downloads from this store.

I have a voucher code - how do I use it?

Add music to your basket, then enter your voucher code into the field below. Alternatively, click “Checkout” and enter your voucher code on the payment page. The price of the track(s) or album will change to “Free!” and your basket total will reflect this.

Can I use my voucher more than once?

If your voucher is for more than one song or album you can use it on separate occasions until it has been fully redeemed.

My voucher isn’t working

Ensure there are no spaces before or after the code and that it has been entered correctly. If you are still having problems, contact us. Please include the code and tell us where it was obtained.

How do I download?

After you have paid you will be taken to the page where you can download your music to your computer or other device. Only the music you have just purchased will be there; however, you can access it again later, along with other purchases you have made previously, by going to “Your Music”.

Do I have to download all my music straight away?

No, you can return at any time, sign in and then download from “Your Music”.

Can I download a track more than once?

You can, but there are limits imposed by the record labels. They vary from label to label but you will certainly have a minimum of three downloads per track.

There’s something wrong with my download...

Please try downloading again from “Your Music” as this usually resolves the issue. If that doesn’t work please contact us with details of the download and a description of the problem. Do not purchase it again as it's unlikely to help.
